Mr. Alfred Cheruiyot

Mr. Alfred K. Cheruiyot, CBS is the Principal Secretary for Post Training and Skills Development, Ministry of Education. He possesses solid Management skills with extensive experience in ICT systems. Having worked in Telcos Industry in Senior Positions, he has come up as an astute leader with strong organizational, administrative and analytical skills. He is an accomplished Executive with significant exposure and expertise in the areas of; Enterprise Management, Business Development, Revenue Generation within start-ups operating in a dynamic environment. He previously worked as CEO of Cerberus Solutions – an ICT consultancy firm and Oracle partner and Head of IT- Communications Authority and The Kenya Posts and Telecoms Corporation. 

Mr. Cheruiyot holds an MBA degree in Strategic Management from Moi University, and a BSc from Kenyatta University. He is an Oracle Certified Professional from Oracle University, Midrand South Africa and a certified Sun Microsystems expert.

In addition, he has extensive professional trainings locally and internationally in the areas of ICT and Management among others, having trained in UK, South Africa, ITU Sweden, South Wales and at the famed Silicon Valley in California, USA.

Mr. Cheruiyot has a passion in developing other people, and he comes to the State Department of Post-Training with a Passion to improve skills provision in the Country.

He also engages in Community Responsibilities aimed at uplifting lives of communities by providing access to water and sanitation facilities.
